PREPPING PROUD MARY

Good thing we didn't try to leave town without getting Proud Mary out and trying her stuff. Her motor turned over the very first try and hummed like a kitten.  Getting the mast erected wasn't even as difficult as I anticipated....Getting the mast down again was a different story. :-)  All ended well though and Norm got all the lights fixed too, so we're in good shape to begin provisioning her.  Counting the days until we go!

SUMMER AT THE LAKE

This will be the summer we drag Proud Mary some 2000+ miles to finally be able to sail her. Iowa just isn't a sailboat-friendly kind of state so we're off to the great Pacific Northwest for a Harless adventure! For those wanting some chuckles over the "life and times" of a couple of old folks as they learn how to sail a toy sailboat, bookmark this page.  I'm sure there will be plenty of stories....
